Firbolgs are sturdy giants who live in remote forests and hills. Their skin is a fleshy pink color, and they wear their hair long and grow thick beards. A firbolg's hair can be any color, though blonde and red are most common.

Firbolgs live with the land, farming and hunting but never taking more than they need to survive. They do not trust most other humanoids, though they are on good terms with elves and other fey folk.

Firbolgs stand over 10 feet tall and weight about 800 pounds.

Firbolgs speak Common and Giant in deep, smooth voices with rolling consonants.

Combat
Firbolgs are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, but not armor or shields. They prefer to avoid fighting altogether, but if they are provoked into combat, they often use huge greatswords or halberds, which they wield with awesome power. A group of firbolgs will fight as a unit, using terrain to their advantage.

Deflect Missiles (Ex): Once per round, if a firbolg has one hand free, it can deflect a missile that otherwise would have hit it, as if it had the Deflect Arrows feat. This ability also applies to small (40-50 lb) thrown or launched boulders.

Snatch Missiles (Ex): When using its Deflect Missiles ability, a firbolg may choose to catch the thrown missile instead of just deflecting it, as if it had the Snatch Arrows feat. Thrown weapons (including small thrown or launched boulders) can be immediately thrown back at the original attacker, or kept for later use.

Spell-like Abilities: Spells are cast as a 6th level sorcerer: At will -- Detect Magic, Alter Self, Reduce (as Reduce Person, self only).
